message to the broken-hearted

The subject that I can guarantee every girl gets any close to sensitive about ,is boys. This year has been very eventful. There have been many boys I have met and have been interested in , but probably we didn't end up together for the better. But the question is , do we as girls , need a boyfriend to be reassured we're beautiful?

Because we see it all the time , people thinking they're ugly , and that  they will never get a guy as all guys ever want anymore is the looks.
Well that's not entirely true and deep down we all know that the guy that likes you for looks is a guy in a relationship you don't want to be in .And it won't last long , when he realizes ,the real you isn't caked up in make-up And the one that likes you for you is the perfect guy . Not one that changes around his mates but when it's just you and him , calls you beautiful and says he loves you.You need to know he means it .
I've had a very wierd  series of events the past three weeks .We'll keep it anonymous but here goes the story...

A friend of mine has liked a guy for ages and he's liked her .Probably a little more than she liked him.Well long story short he never asked her out so she ended up getting with someone else but did still have slight feelings for him. --TRUE LOVE NEVER DIES.
Anyway , I made friends with this guy a little while ago and we actually talk a lot more than they do.And he's kind of over her but she's not over him . And they're kind of in post argument stage. If you get the situation ?
And now I'm in the place that no gal wants to be in .Taking sides,I get it , I've known my friend longer than him but I feel like she's in the wrong here. And well , we've been really close and good friends and yesterday he told me he likes me .Like , like likes me .MAJOR NONO.As I mentioned earlier I did want a relationship but I just feel like right now I just want to enjoy being single .And I don't want to ruin our friendship and make it awkward between us. I just wish he never told me. And as per with all this stress, I just feel the only way to get through it all , is well.. blogging it out.
So through constant times where I've said , oh I just wish I had a boyfriend , or ,look how happy he makes her, I want someone like him. Never in a million years did i think I'd turn down the lot.
The thing is , nowadays you can't be too sure if a guy likes you for you , or your butt.Trust me you can have nice "buns" and he may like to "ice " them but it doesn't mean he loves you.And don;t get disheartened if you're not as good looking as that one girl that always gets the whistles.
There's the girl with the outer beauty who every guy thinks is damn well sexy and then there's the girl who has inner beauty who every guy dreams of talking to because she is such a kind ,caring person. And truth is , the one person he's gonna be thinking about is the person that makes him happy.Who do you think that is ?
And the quote of the day ?
"Love yourself and you will be loved
Hate yourself and the longer it will take to find the good in you."

Thanks for reading dolls!

Real Techniques expert face brush

Hi guys , so this post is on the Real Techniques base face brush.I use this particular brush for sometimes concealer, but mostly foundation .I had heard a lot about these make up brushes and what I heard was that they were really good. So splashing out on the cash I bought three at once !The first one I tried was this one and it was pretty damn decent.

I'd say 99.9 % of the time it doesn't shed , i've washed it and it still doesn't shed. They are also amazingly soft brushes and I can't stop stroking them . The fibres are really good for spreading your make-up evenly and really covering up those blemishes.I'd say this is better for those with clearer skin as I don't think it's very good over those hilly spots or dents. As it's just a standard "blob" shaped brush it does tend to need a flat surface to give a flawless looking result. But that's not to say that with very spotty skin you can't get good results. like i've said before I have mild acne and it has covered up my skin really well .

Well , i have been using this a lot  less than I intended, as the next brush , THE STIPLING BRUSH ,is miles better than this.I personally think this brush deserves four out of five stars as it works really well on almost all skin types.

Montagne Jeunesse prickly pear peel off face mask review

Hi everyone , so it's a long time no post reference now.Yes , this is repeatedly the case with me but I'm so glad it's finally the holidays again so I can get my Christmas on ,and then wack a bit of  blogging in there somewhere too.

Today's  review is on another Montagne Jeunesse product I received a little while ago .What can I say about Montagne  Jeunesse face masks?I think they are amazing and work well on any skin type . They are something I use regularly and are so relaxing to use. Before we move on to the review , let me tell you a bit about the company.

  • All Montagne Jeunesse face masks can be purchased and are available nationwide at Stores such as Asda ,Superdrug,Tesco,New Look and Morrisons.
  • All of their products are vegatarian approved, made from natural ingredients and are Paraben-free.
  • Montagne Jeunesse is proud of it's uncompromising natural credentials and ethos for "conservation of energy, protection of animals and the environment
Now for those of you that have no idea what Paraben is ,I went ahead and did a little research for you.
Many companies nowadays use Parabens to preserve their products ,using these Parabens help reduce bacteria and fungus therefore the products can be used for a longer period. Paraben is  a chemical so It can be harmful to your body.
So Montagne Jeunesse DOES NOT use Parabens in any of their products , meaning these face masks are really healthy and  safe to use.

So this is the Prickly Pear peel off mask designed to create a shockingly juicy skin boost.First off the wrapping of the mask is very pretty , I don't know about you but I love these colors and I love the ingredients inside too.Prickly pear and Mangostean are used in this. You can really smell the sweetness of the mango and the pear is really strong. It's actually quite a nice scent which is useful considering you've got tons under your nose and splat on your face for around 15 minutes.
My face felt as though it was warming up a bit with this mask on which was a little uncomfy but it has softened my skin immensely. My skin feels clearer and more shine controlled.I actually feel quite refreshed and awake.

I think with peel off masks I have a mixed relationship .I find that i'm not too keen on how sticky and liquidy they are.I like the mud mask textures better as I feel as though I am putting another layer onto my skin.Whereas with the peel off mask I don'e feel as though i get that same amount of tightness as I would with a mud mask .However , I do love that sense of accomplishment when I get to peel off this thin plastic layer from my face.It feels as though I am ripping and taking out all the bad things from my skin.
So overall , I really liked this mask.I do prefer mud masks and I would have liked something more cleansing for my blackheads but it has helped me keeping my skin moistured but shine controlled at the same time. And hopefully by keeping your skin like this , the mask is actually doing wonders to the health and quality of your skin.If you would like to purchase or take a browse of any other Montagne Jeunesse face mask click HERE.

Ice Diamond , Digital Wand Hair Curlers Review

Hi guys , so recently I was sent some lovely curlers by a companny called Ice Diamond. Now I originally heard of Ice diamond through my mums college and we purchased some straighteners from there. They were really good and I still use them to this day, I completely ditched GHD'S after finding out about these badboys and love using them so much.A lot of my friends also use Ice Diamond as I've told them many times how good they are for your hair too. So when these arrived in the post a little while ago ,I was so excited to try them , and this is what I thought.

"The advanced ioechnology restricts damage, reduces static and creates shine by closing the cuticle, locking in moisture, natural oils and hair color for total hair protection."

This is the digital curling wand , I've never used a curling wand other than standard so digital is kind of cool I guess.Obviously , for me , black looks the best so I'm glad I got it in this color. The logo's pretty cute too, it has a little diamond in there.

So on the silver plate it basically tells you the temperature of the wand which is always good to know and you can increase and decrease the temperature too with the buttons .The buttons are pretty easy and evident to use, an on/off button and a + and - button .Everything about the curlers is pretty self explanatory .

And what I really like about them is that with it , you get a pair of gloves to prevent your fingers from burning, really helpful for me as I am always burning myself.I'm assuming they'd be ok to use for left handed people.Oh yay ,hi left handerz! (yes to the reference there).

So seen as my usual curlers are tongues I'm finding myself to be a little rusty on working the curls, but I'm getting there.Personally , I think tongues are easier to use as they hold the curl in place , whereas wands don't .(hence the need to use the gloves)
However,I think the wand makes really nice curls and the size of the curls can be different due to where on the wand you start curling your hair, which adds good texture to hair.
Overall , these curlers are really good and fairly easy to use .They cost £45.99 and heat up in just 90 seconds. If you would like to purchase or take a look at this product click HERE.

Dorothy Perkins-Kardashian Kollection handbag

Hi guys, so have you all been to take a look at the new Kardashian Kollection Line at Dorothy Perkins ?I have , I am absolutely obsessed with the Kardashians and when I found out they had a new pop-up shop at the Trafford Centre I was quick to go take a look.

We all know that each Kardashian has an amazing style sense but i think most of you can agree with me when I say that most of their clothes aren't actually the type you would ever wear.
Well anyway , my sister went and got me a little present and it was one of their handbags.

And I absolutely love it , having something designer just makes everything about it seem more valuable -obviouly and more precious The great thing is , it's not really all that an expensive shop , infact they've made everything really affordable. This bag costed £45 and I love it !

so for town shopping trips we have a long chunky chain strap for easy handling and for city shopping trips we have the short handle. Both look very chic and very "Kardasianified".I find this bag is very hard wearing , and you can fit a lot in there .It looks quite small but is very durable and molds to the shape you need it to fit. However, there is a slightly bigger size in this same style and color for £55.
And to top things off  we have the plaque of honor right in the heart of the bag . In gold and makes it look that much more fancy.

So I think if you like the look of this bag go have a pop down to Dorothy Perkins and take a wonder, the
Kardashian kollection won't be there forever so get something while you can.
Unfortunately I've just found out on the website they aren't selling the bag I bought anymore as it's sold out
:(,they did this with the bag my sister purchased too.Oh well, take a look at the rest of the bags as they have all been reduced in price immensely and look pretty amazing too.

Montagne Jeunesse , Exotic Fruits-Dragon Fruit Sauna Face mask

Hi guys , so a few weeks ago I was sent some lovely face masks by ,Monatagne Jeunesse.I use Montagne jeunesse face masks time and time again as I think they are just so blissful and relaxing on the skin .
Before I get on to the review I'll tell you a bit about the company:

The first mask I reviewed was the Pawpaw peel off , part one of the Exotic fruits trillogy.

So the next mask I used was the Dragon Fruit Sauna skin sizzling cleanse mask. This smelled and looked amazing. Like it was this pinky red liquiddy texture and went on the skin a bit like a honey consistency. Like I said the smell was really good and I've never had dragon fruit before but the smell was so nice I was tempted to eat it. -Have no fear, I didn't.
The great thing about it was was when I actually applied it to my skin my face suddenly felt really hot but in a nice way, like it genuinely felt as though I was in a sauna. And we all know how good it is for our skin to get cleansed with the heat every now and again. After I washed it off I felt like my skin was much more clearer and softer and maybe some of my blackheads had gone.
This mask was an easy A grade and I will definitely be trying this again. If you would like to try it yourself you can purchase it from any big store such as Asda , Morrisons ,Superdrug or New look .Or take a look at the website HERE.

Toni&guy Hair meet Wardrobe Weekend Glamour Hair spray

hi guys , I'M AWARE ! I've not blogged for ages but I've been so busy lately !Anyway ,let's get on to the review before I rant about how hard this coursework is to catch up on. So the next Toni&Guy HAIR MEET WARDROBE product I will be reviewing is the Glamour firm- hold Hairspray.

I tend not to need to use hairspray as my hair is pretty lenient with me and stays where and how I put it for as long as I want it to . But i figured I'd try it anyway.

I'm not very keen on hairspray because of how hard and rough it makes your hair feel , this partic hairspray didn't really make my unbearable but I still didn't like the texture my hair was giving off.
But enough with my downers , I thought this added really good shine to my hair and kept in place my curls. It 's actually a really nice smelling hairspray which is kind of crazy but with all of it's qualities in mind I'm going to give this product three stars out of five.
So if you're looking to buy this product Boots would be the best place to splash out for Christmas , as this product costs £6.39  ,which is ok but not when the can is only 250 ml (it hardly lasts ).So I think the best and more "efficient "way would be to buy the Hair meet wardrobe whole set which includes , A shampoo , conditioner, tousling-texturising  spray ,hairspray and spin pins, all carried in a beautiful bag. This way you're getting all these full sized products for £18.Which is most definitely a bargain.

Clinique Liquid Facial Soap Mild

Hi guys, well remember ,remember the 5th of November I guess the night is here and I'm not gonna hear the end of it.People need yo call it quits with the fireworks ,I'm tired :(.So for a while I have been trying out some Clinique anti blemish range products and I'm sad to say I haven't actually had any luck with them .

So , I just gave up on the whole range and went to a more natural approach , a soft liquid mild soap .And I'm actually quite impressed with this product.
This is only a small gifties bottle but I feel like it's my pot of gold at the end of a rainbow trapped inside this handy vial.Ok, so it's not as mythological as all of what I just said but ygm, hopefully !When I used this for around a week or so , the results were great.I found my skin purer , softer and feeling clearer. Obviously my skin still had scarrs so my skin didn't look amazing to some people  , but it genuinely felt amazing and I knew it was helping inside.
Most of my blackheads had been washed out and it was a very gentle soap to use.It didn't irritate my skin like Clinique's products usually do !So I'm excited to get the fullsize bottle and get better results.

Well, If you would like to purchase this product yourself , you can have a look at Boots by clicking HERE.The actual bottle will be a nicer more mature pumping 200ml bottle and costs £15.Hope you enjoy !

Montagne Jeunesse Exoctic Fruits PawPaw Peel Off Face mask review

Hi guys , so about a week ago I was sent some lovely face masks by ,Monatagne Jeunesse.I use Montagne jeunesse face masks time and time again as I think they are just so blissful and relaxing on the skin .
Before I get on to the review I'll tell you a bit about the company:

This review is on the MONTAGNE JEUNESSE Paw Paw Peel Off.So like I've said time and time again peel off's arent usually my fave but this actually looked really appealing to me . The packet itself looked so exotic and bright and It just made me feel like  this was the first mask I wanted to try.
The face mask itself was really sticky , it had a kind of honey consistency . It smelled good enough to eat and I was very tempted to try it . -ok ,that's a bit shady !
It was kind of like a peach melba scent ,EXCEPT it was papaya, grape, mango and Noni Juice.I've never heard of Noni juice before but it is meant to have healing and antioxident properties.Well , this mask was a "phenomenal pore blast ".I have to admit , my akin felt refreshed and clear after removing the mask .I still saw blackheads but I did feel they had been controlled to some extent. This smelled amazing and did moisture my face really well.I like the tightness they have on your skin ,because you can feel the mask working it's way along getting rid of the dead skin cells , so it's just as good an exfoliator too !

For me , it didn't reduce any pimples but it may have reduced redness and inflammatory in the cheeks.Obviously because of my acne , I'm not really able to decide whether it's the mask that's worked or just my medication.
This particular mask is £1.29  from the Montagne Jeunesse Exotic Fruits collection and I think it is a really good face mask .I think this mask was very relaxing and soft to the touch and almost effortless to use and we could all do with these masks at least once a week for a bit of pamper time!
So if you would like to purchase the face mask yourself hop on to the website HERE.

Toni&Guy HAIR MEET WARDROBE Texturising Spray for the casual look

Hi guys , so how is this lovely Brittish weather going for you ?*sarcasm intended*

But anyway , less about the weather more about another exciting product I've got for you guys .Well it's another product from the Toni&Guy Hair meet wardrobe range.

I've found the cleansing and detoxifying shampoo to be my favorite product out of the whole thing. It's really made my hair change an awful lot.It feels lighter and clean , soft and doesn't get greasy till after the third day, which is what every girl wants !

But I have to say the Toni&Guy Texturising Spray was a close second. It was mad, I went to bed after washing my hair and spraying with the spray, no drying , (air dry is the way)and when I woke up I had these gorgeous curls , but not ringlets or anything.I really liked this , so I went ahead and did it again the next time i showered, butusing less spray this time and I got really loose ,kind of crimped boho hair .I think this look suits me as I've got different tones of browns and blondes in the lowershafts of my hair in contrast to the darker browns at the tops of my hair .I find this product is lightweight and isn't sticky and easy to use , even on dry hair.
It gives a rreally casual look and I think it' s a great product .You can purchase this fromBoots and for better value for money you can get the whole gift set for just £18.

Betrousse Pretty Beauty Box Review

Hi guys , so today I have a rather prolonged and awaited but exciting review. It's on this months Betrousse Pretty Beauty, beauty box.
Let me tell you a bit about the company,Betrousse is a french company that specialize in monthly beauty boxes bulging with exciting and useful full size products at an immensely reduced price. For instance , this months box has nine products worth £122 at an amazing price of £19.For Betrousse there's no subscriptions and no catch .All it is , is every month if you feel like a particular box appeals to your tastes then you purchase it and will receive it within days. So what's not to like !

So I was  really excited to see that there was a range of different products which was a huge relief seen as last months beauty box did happen to have 3 anti wrinkle /face creams. When I got this at the doorstep I was quick to tear into it.Let's take a look at the contents!

So Yves Rocher is a company i've actually heard about before but never actually purchased from .This is  one of my favorites in the whole box and it is the YVES ROCHER Organic refreshing gel cleanser. This is a 200ml squeezy bottle for £11.
Cleansers are often something I struggle with but I've found that this cleanser is very soft and gentle on the skin and has helped out my skin a lot. It's been good at removing my make up and refreshing my face.I'm glad to say I've not any spots the past three or four days *touchwood*.-hopefully it will stay that way. What's cool about this cleanser is that it's a gel so I think it works better on the skin at cleaning more of the surface rather than just seeping in your pores straight away like a normal liquid cleanser would usually do.It's completely natural so i think it's a very hardworking product.

Next is the Yves Rocher Sexy pulp Volume Gloss (pink).Ok , so I wasn't over the moon about getting a lip gloss , I mean they're pretty out of fashion now and not that amazing looking. But I thought it deserved a little more than harsh marking. So, one thing I really liked was it smelled amazing. Like i can't really define it that well but it's more of a sweet and flowery ,girly scent.I'm glad it's not super sticky !in fact it's not sticky at all so i might actually wear it when I feel like a bit of shine. It doesn't change your lip color that much ,it's just coming up quite light and sheer ,no actual tint of the lips are thankfully quite "volumy"already (i'm grateful !) so I don't really see any difference in the size or the pulpyness of my lips .This is a standard size lip gloss and costs £13.90.

The next product is one I am generally quite excited to try , it's the Cupcake Organic Frankincense &Orange Day Cream which is one of two types of product you could receive, you would either get this one or the Blue Tansy &lavender Balancing Day cream, which sounds pretty nice.
So this is a 30ml tub costing £16 and smells very "zesty" but also quite "cinomenny"and If you are a common reader you'll know that I'm not too keen on the smell of cinnomen but this probably won't stop me from using it .If it's a day cream , i imagine it won't be a heavy cream , and won't be too moisturising so I reckon this will be good for normal or oily skin types.

Next is a producty I really don't have a lot to say's the Kesari Radieuse Anti-age cream.obviously my innitial thoughts was to give this to my mum seen as i wouldn't be finding any use in it but it's a shame that a £47 bottle has gone to waste seen as the pump is broken and I can't get any cream out :(

This next one is also a product I'm excited to use and it's the ESSYTA COSMETICS Body moisturising Lotion for dry skin. This is a 250ml bottle for £13.50 ,I don't have any dry skin patches at the moment but I know I'll definitely use it when I do.Even on my hand it's very moisturising and makes your skin feel soft and firmer .
The only thing I'm not so keen on is the smell , it's a little woodsy shall we say and it seems a bit natural due to it's "leafy " qualities .

And also  lets not forget one of the finest... Arganti Argon Oil.I honestly don't get the big fassination for argon oil. It's no better than oilve oil and that's saying something. I think if you use moroccan or maccadamia oil you may like argon oil ,but if you have been using oilve oil for a while you probably will want to keep at it. I know I will , through my Asian heritage I'll stick with the original stuff. It's oil , and it's qualities are exactly the same , it just sounds fancy. It makes hair shiny, less frizzy, conditions and makes her thicker and grow faster. This little antidote is 60ml and costs £10.

And there's also the Vera Valenti Valetta eyeshadow -wow ,mamma taught this chick some grammer, that's hekloads of alliteration.
It's handy dandy and cute. These light and pinky/white shades are definitely me and I will  certainly be using them !this palette is available in either pink or Grey  and costs £2.

Crack nail varnish is something I've always wanted to try but I usually stay away from nail polish in general , I'm just not the type and am not patient enough !Plus I don't have the nails for it ! But this Saffron london Cracking Nail Polish is included  too and I imagine will look great paired with the right base.

And last but not least  , Papier Poudre .At first I didn't really know what this was but it's actually really cute and quite a "gifty" idea.

Inside you have oil controlling film of three flavors  White,Rose and Rachel (maybe not flavors There's 65 sheets in each booklet and all you have to do is rip a page out of the book when you feel a little clammy or oily and place on the skin. When you  remove it you'll notice the dark shade on the sheet is the grease from your skin, I think in the long run using these will prevent spots too as you're keeping your skin clear. It's great for after sport or if you're wanting to look pretty when you"jimmy ".

Oh hey , check me out in the limelight .So there you go , 9 full size products awaiting your call,if you like the look of this months box then check out BETROUSSE.COM. They really do an amazing job at putting together great beauty boxes and they're a great way to treat yourself.I think it's a great box as it's at an amazing price of £19.

Tuesday, 30 October 2012

Hi guys , so like I said yesterday being gifted by my brother the Toni&guy hair meet wardrobe weekendd gift set was a lovely treat and I have thoroughly enjoyed uding each of these products . If you would like to see the review of the cleansing and detoxyfying shampoo click HERE and read on for the review on the Prep  leave in conditioner.

Like many others , I can't really use leave in conditioners without normal conditioner as well so I tend to use any old conditioner , (at the moment Treseme Keratin Smooth )
I think the whole idea of leave in onditioners are quite helpful as you can even use them on dry hair that needs an extra bit of nourishment,

I think it's not as good as making your hair frizz free as it says it is..I have to admit though my hair wasn't frizz free it was softer and easier to manage .My curls were a lot less "strandy "when I left my hair to dry natural but there was still some aspects of frizz to be honest .
It's not the best leave in Conditioner , and I did put about a walnut size amount on  the lower shafts of my hair.

So you can buy this yourself from Boots on it's own but I do think it would be better value for money to get the whole gift set for just £18 , which includes a purse.

Garnier Pure Active Exfo-Brusher Wash

Hi guys , so I went into town a few weeks ago on the Hunt for an anti blackhead Neutrogena facewash when I stumbled upon this instead.Today's review is on the Garnier Pure Active Exfo-Brusher Wash.

This was designed to remove dead skin cells and visibly reduce shine all whilst fading marks and fighting spots since day one.I have to admit ,it sounds all glamorous and it's probably what made me buy it ,but it's really not worked as good as I thought it would do.

It's no secret that you're not supposed to exfoliate everyday but  I think with this product it's okay to use once a day as it's not a very harsh scrubber and won't inviggorate your skin ,Don't get me wrong ,it does reduce dead skin cells and get rid of dirt but it's not very "scrubbadubby."
As you can see it has a built in exfoliating spiky top ,this allows you to squeeze out the face wash and to apply to your face whilst brushing away the dead skin cells.I guess it's bound to reduce spots as it uncloggs the dirty pores and reduces the oils that create spots but it just hasn't had that effect on me for some reason . It has reduced shine though.
So the spikes aren't sharp and i've noticed that my blackheads have reduced so much and my pores have shrunk too.

Overall I think this product is a 50/50 I mean ,it's given me some great help but it hasn't helped me with some of the things it said it would ,so I think this product deserves three stars  and if you like the sounds of it you can purchase it yourself from Superdrug for £7.99 HERE
